Why do you want the poem written: To celebrate our 1st Wedding Anniversary on the 17th September 2006.

What style of poem would you prefer (happy, sad, romantic etc.): Happy & Romantic

What are the key messages you would like to send: Justin and I have been together for over ten years now and have been through a lot over the last year or so - I just want him to know how much he means to me and what a big and special art he plays in my life. Justin is the kindest, most thoughtful and loving husband I could ever wish for. I also fell pregnant (much to our delight) shortly after we were married and were recently blessed with our beautiful baby boy, Jenson Rhys in July, he is the best present that we could ever have given each other; a little bit of him and a little bit of me, if he puts in as much love to our little boy as he has done with me - Jenson will be the luckiest little boy in the world!

Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: As we have been together for such a long time we have been on so many great holidays and have many great memories together; our first holiday in Tunisia, getting engaged on a beach in Barbados, travelling around Mexico on the Mayan trail, visiting the Pyramids in Cairo and King Tut at the Cairo Museum also travelling down The River Nile, Diving in the Maldives, dancing the night away at the Tropicana Club in Havana followed by several Cuba-Libres whilst in Cuba, our whistle-stop tour of paris, The Angel Falls in Venezuela, The islands of Los Roques and lastly our wonderful Honeymoon in Sorrento and Capri; picking out two beautiful oil paintings in Capri to walking to the top of Mount Vesuvius in Sorrento! What I am trying to say is that we have had so many wonderful adventures together - but this is just the start of it all! We are now embarking on the biggest adventure of all; being parents to our beautiful baby boy!

Our Wedding Day last September was perfect in so many ways but mostly because I married the man of my dreams! He makes me complete and makes me feel so loved!

Do you have any other comments or thoughts: I want to leave Justin with a lasting impression of how much he means to me, and also what a great Father I know he will make!

Our Joyful Forge

Hello, my wonderful Justin,
I wanted to write you a little line,
because I'm so in love with you, yes,
I'm very proud of that husband of mine.

I can't believe it's been one year already,
but that's only one tenth of our time together,
and I know we've been through a lot this year,
the memory of which, I'm sure, will last forever and ever.

But I wanted you to know what you mean to me,
and just what a special part you play in my life,
you're the most kindest, thoughtful, loving husband,
yes indeed, I'm so lucky, so proud to be your wife.

Joyfully, I fell pregnant just after we married,
so our fist year was blessed with Jenson Rhys,
he's the best present we could have given each other,
and I think he sums up our marriage (and it goes like this):

You see, he's a little bit of you, a little of me,
and that's what makes our marriage work, day to day,
and Justin, I just wanted to thank you for being you,
and that one line leaves so much to say.

Because if Jenson is loved as much as I am, well,
I think he'll be the luckiest boy on this Earth,
and we both wanted to thank you for your love and kindness,
yes Justin, we both know your true and honest worth.

And we shared so many adventures together,
the destinations sound like the ultimate travel guide,
Tunisia, Barbados, Mexico, Cairo, the Maldives, Cuba,
Paris, Venezuela, Las Roques - wow! What a ride!

Topped off by our wonderful honeymoon,
Sorrento and Capri, in all their resplendent glory,
and we've shared so many great times together,
but now it's time for us to write another story.

And I think this will be our biggest adventure of all,
as I'm sure Jenson will keep us on our toes,
but he's also happy we were married in September,
and like me, he's very happy with the man that I chose.

In truth, I married the man of my dreams.
you make me feel so complete, so completely whole,
and Justin, I just wanted to say I love you, in truth,
I love you with all my heart, all my soul.

And I've heated this poetic iron in such a joyful forge,
because I wanted to leave a lasting impression on your heart,
I wanted you to know what you mean to me,
but to be honest, I just didn't know where to start.

So I'll finish by saying Happy 1st Anniversary,
I guess that's really what these words are for,
here's to you, Justin, you're truly wonderful,
and here's to our everlasting love, for evermore.
