I first 'met' Trish's daughter, Christi, when I wrote a poem for her dad, called The King Of Hearts. Less than one year later, Christi got in touch and informed me that sadly, her mother was dying of cancer.
"I would like to give her a gift from her entire family
while she is still able to appreciate it." She asked if there was anything I could do and in that moment, this moving collection was born:

I am proud of this book, I just wish it was written under different circumstances. I have never met Trish but I do know that she is a remarkable person, because the people that are closest to her have told me so (in no uncertain detail).
I have been honoured to help her friends and family express their thoughts and feelings in this very emotional and inspirational book. In truth, I've helped them to say goodbye to someone who they obviously love very much.
Trish's family have bravely given their permission for this book to be made freely available.
So, just click here and you will be able to download your FREE copy. Please feel free to forward to friends, family and colleagues if you want to. Also, it would be greatly appreciated if you could make a donation to cancer research on Trish's behalf, there's a link to The Cancer Council of Australia and the American Cancer Society here. Thank you.

October 2006 Update: "Hi Allen I hope this email finds you and Jill well. I want to let you know that Mum passed away last Thursday evening (19 October) at 6:05pm (our time). I was able to be here at home to help care for Mum for the last two weeks of her life, as was one of her sisters (Aunty Barb). Though we knew Mum was very ill we were shocked at the rapid decline in her condition. Mum was on morphine for the last ten days of her life, which helped her a lot. I wanted you to know that in the last two days of her life we placed 'Strong Hearts' under her pillow and it gave us much comfort. The whole process of 'Strong Hearts' was able to bring about such healing and forgiveness within my family and we thank you. When Mum passed away she did so with a happy heart and our hearts, too, were free of bitterness. We had Mum's funeral yesterday and there were about 500 people there to say goodbye. Take care and thank you again for being instrumental in helping Mum and her family to find forgiveness for each other before she died. All my love. Christi xoxo" God Bless
