We met at the WRCF,
you drying out and me going straight,
strange place to meet,
maybe a strange twist of fate.
 
But some things in life,
are just meant to be,
the meeting of two lost souls,
like lost ships at sea.
 
Now you've done your time,
been clean for over one year.
Conquered your addiction,
have overcome your fear.
 
And you make me so proud,
I am so proud of you,
because I know your battles,
I know what you've been through.
 
We've had our good times,
watching the play-offs in '98,
riding the bus together,
working at Premier Portraits.
 
Now we stay in touch,
even though we're many miles away,
I'd like you to be my friend for life,
what more is there to say ?
