Family

 The road has often been rocky,

but with your help I'll never fall.

The love of my caring family

keeps me standing proud and tall.

The guidance and support you've shown me

is all I really need;

With the three of you beside me,

I'm destined to succeed.

I know that if I stumble,

you're all there to grab my hand;

No matter what life throws at us,

As a family we will stand.

Your love has been my strength;

A simple thank-you is not enough,

to show how I appreciate

you being there when things are rough.

So, life isn't always fair to us;

Maybe it's not supposed to be,

But it seems so much more balanced,

because you've been there for me.

Joey,

I wanted to say thank you very much for the poem it is very beautiful and I copied it and gave it to my family and my mother had tears. I actually got a hug from my sister for the first time in a long time. I didn't get back sooner because I have been very busy with doctor appointments and everything, I go in for a brain shunt operation on the 12th of January so it's been pretty hairy on this side. Thanks again.
