This poem was based on an email I received one day. The email contained a lot of useless facts that I thought might make a reasonable poem, judge for yourself..
 
Did You Know ?
 
If all four legs are on the ground,
He died of natural causes.

(I'm talking statues in the park,
and of Generals and their horses).

 
Month, silver, orange and purple,
Are seldom seen in rhyme,
And that a jiffy,
Is an actual unit of time !
 
If you've friends in Antarctica,
And want to get through,
Then just dial the numbers,
Six, seven and then a two.
 
When you wet an Israeli stamp,
With a good wholesome lick,
Be thankful that its kosher,
Otherwise it wouldn't stick.
 
Mel Blanc,
(The voice of Bugs Bunny),
Was allergic to carrots,
Strange, weird and nearly funny.
 
One day in freezing Sweden,
When the clocks were exactly five,
They stopped their cars, changed sides,
And carried on with their drive.
 
The very first bomb dropped,
By the allies in World War two,
Killed the only elephant,
Resident in Berlin Zoo !
 
Humphrey Bogart never said,

Not quite the shortest sentence,
Which basically is "I am".
 
More people are killed by donkeys,
Than by flying in the air,
But if you see a flying donkey,
Well, you'd better beware !
 
Dollar notes aren't made out of paper,
In fact, there made out of cotton,
And ostrich's eyes are bigger than their brains,
So everything seen is soon forgotten.
 
Did you know that this poem,
Didn't have that much to say,
But I hope you enjoyed the read,
And have learnt something, anyway !
