Why do you want the poem written: Morgan is graduating from Odessa high school and going to college at the University of Texas in the fall of 2006.

What are the key messages you would like to send: How proud I am of her graduating with honors from high school and her acceptance into the university of Texas. I mainly want to thank her for being such a wonderful daughter. She is smart, pretty, responsible, and has a lot of common sense. Morgan is easy to talk to and I have learned from her as well as her learning from me. Morgan is a optimistic woman that is loved by all of her friends and family. Since the day she was born, she has matured into a woman that her father is so very proud of.

Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: When Morgan was a toddler, she dressed up like wonder woman and was going to save the world, but she stumped her toe and began crying and had to quit. Morgan also still can not ride a bike. The one time she tried she hit a parked truck and got several stitches in her chin. Morgan Is a good athlete and the joke between us is that I was a manager during high school and basically just washed towels. She likes to remind me that she is the better athlete between the two of us and can beat me at any athletic event we compete in against each other

Do you have any other comments or thoughts : Morgan has been on the High School Tennis team for the past 3 years. I have made almost every Tennis match she has been in. I know being with her during her tennis matches was a special time for the both of us.

Hello, my wonderful Morgan,
today has been a good win indeed,
and I just wanted to say I'm proud of you,
in truth, I'm proud of your every deed.

I'm proud that you've graduated with honors,
and yes, you've been accepted into University,
but I wanted to thank you for being a wonderful daughter,
truly, you've made my world a better place to be.

You're smart, pretty and responsible,
and you have a great deal of common sense,
so it's time for me to do some straight talking,
yes, it's time for me to get off the fence.

Because you've always been easy to talk with,
and truly, I have learned as much from you,
you're an optimistic woman who's loved by all,
and like I said, I'm proud of all that you do.

Since the day that you were born in '87,
November 4 was when you landed on planet Earth,
since then you've matured into a fine woman, yes,
Morgan, I do know your true and honest worth.

When you were a toddler, you dressed as Wonder Woman,
you were going to save the world, well, just a bit,
but sadly, you then went and stumped your toe,
hurt, you began to cry and then had to quit.

And even today, you still cannot ride a bike,
the one time you tried you had stitches in your chin,
but despite those early setbacks to your career,
you're a fine athlete (and yes, you know how to win).

Look, I spent a lot of time washing towels in high school,
I was your manager, I should have spent more time on the track,
but I did make nearly every one of your tennis matches,
I know that was a special time for both us, looking back.

But seriously, I also think of the world you now live in,
it's getting warmer but for all, there's still not enough to eat,
you don't have to go far to find poverty on every corner,
and there's a homeless man on just about every street.

So now I think you should finish what you started,
because my angel, you really have your wings unfurled,
so, number one, buy a helmet and learn to ride a bike, and,
number two, go on, wonder woman, you can save this world!!

As I know that I've been blessed to have shared you,
and it's about now I should thank those in the heavens above,
because I've been privileged to watch you in play in life,
and I've been privileged to know your forte: Love.
