Someone wrote (names have been changed):
I lied about my past to the woman I love. I misled her as to the number of people I had slept with, because I was
embarrassed. I made a verbal slip, and she found out about it. I had contradicted myself. Needless to say, she is
very hurt and angry. I don't at all blame her. I think that an apology, in verse, would be a nice sentiment. Her name is Stephanie. Can you help. Thank you.
Past Sins
You can't change the past,
and tomorrow is too late.
Today is our future,
our destiny, our fate.
I'm sorry that I misled you,
a stupid no-point lie.
It was because I was embarrassed,
and well, kinda shy.
I know you're hurt and angry,
I don't blame you at all,
I've left you feeling belittled,
I've left you feeling small.
I'm sorry that I've hurt you,
because I know that we will last,
please accept what's done is done,
and forgive the sins of my past.
