I Want

 

I want to tell Julie that,

in spite of all she's put me through,

I still love her more than life itself,

and I love her children too.

 

I want her to be reminded,

of the good things we have shared,

I want her to remember,

a time when she really cared.

 

I want her to know that,

I am forever her friend,

and will be no matter what,

until our journeys' end.

 

I want her to know that,

I long for the day,

when she gets some help,

and comes home to stay.

 

I want her to know that,

as much as I ever loved her then,

I will never take her back,

if she breaks my heart again.

 

I want her to know that,

my heart will always be open wide,

my life an open doorway,

waiting for her to step back inside.

 

I want her to know that,

she gave me a reason to live,

showed me I was worthy of being loved,

she gave me the will to forgive.

 

I want her to know that,

I love her an awful lot,

I will always love her forever,

and I love her, no matter what.
