Alone - A love poem from a broken heart

A4: We have been in a long distance relationship for several months. I was flying to see him, he flew out to see me. Time we have spent together was wonderful. Things were moving right along then everything just stopped. He had some personal issues come up and US had to be put on the back burner for a while and I dont know how long. During this time its been like a living hell not hearing from him as often and we had not seen each other since early July. I guess I get a little to impatient and I start to act a little needy and he thinks I dont understand what he is going through. But I do understand and so much want to give him the space he is needing right now. I do try but I have my days where missing him is all I can do. I want Eric to know how sorry I am that some days are so hard without him. But I also want him to know I love him enough to keep trying to give him the space that he needs. I just dont ever want him to leave my life. Q5: What are the key messages you would like the poem to send ? A6: We spent an incredible evening @ Lake Tahoe. One of the most memorable evenings ever. Q7: Do you have any other comments or thoughts ? A7: I want so much for things to be able to go back the way they were so our relationship can grow. He is the true love of my life. I dont ever want to loose him. Love is a many splendoured thing,
at other times it can tear you apart,
can totally mess with your feelings,
and sometimes it can break your heart.
Many miles may separate us,
and so does that window of time,
but is it so bad to miss someone so much,
is it really that much of a crime?
Now I know we're currently "on hold",
like a couple of callers waiting on line,
just waiting to get connected,
and I'm hoping that one day you'll be mine.
I'm sorry that I'm so impatient,
but that's just the way that I'm built,
sometimes that impatience gets the job done,
at other times all I'm left with is guilt.
So I'm sorry, I really am sorry,
I didn't mean to push you so hard,
but life can leave you a trifle weary,
and sometimes a little battle scarred.
So my precious gift of love to you,
is all the space that you need,
but before these lines are finished,
I'd just like to have one last plead:
Do you know that some days,
all I do is miss you so very much?
I miss being by your side,
how I miss your tender touch.
Do you remember Lake Tahoe?
a wonderful evening, a magical night,
it was then that I truly believed,
that eternal happiness was in sight.
So, just know that I love you,
and that I'm sorry for pushing you too far,
I'll do my best to give you your space,
and let you be who you really are.
I'll be waiting patiently,
for you to pick up that phone,
because I don't want you to leave my life,
I don't want to end up all alone.
