Key Messages:          How much I have enjoyed us beginning our lives together and I look forward to spending the rest of my days with him, sharing the joys and sorrows of life and starting a family with him (he already has 2 children from a past relationship/no marriage).  We have bought a house and have had fun making it our own. That his kindness and thoughtfulness just radiate from him everyday and I love him more and more as the days pass.  I want to make him happy, I want to be the best wife that I can be for him; I want to be and stay an attractive, loving, supportive, spiritual, faithful and affectionate companion and friend for him and want to create a peaceful, restful home for him.  

Memorable Moments:     We were married in Hawaii, on the island of Kauai on the beach.  It was absolutely beautiful and amazing and it was so apparent that the Lord was there with us.

We had several difficult hurdles for several months before getting married and during our first couple months being married that we stuck together on and got through by trusting each other and God whole heartedly and making the decision to continue to love one another regardless of the obstacles.

We have to-date had to deal with his mother dis-owning him and cutting all ties with him because of our bi-racial marriage.  It hurts me to know that in a sense it is because of me and I want to be able to help him get through this difficult and painful time.

We first met at a local night club called Millennium a couple years ago, I seen him there and was so drawn to him that I approached him and asked him to dance.  I would have never approached someone before but there was just something so welcoming and kind about him that I could actually picture myself with him at that very moment.

Our honeymoon was absolutely perfect in Hawaii, other than our rental car broke down several times.  Frustrating then but we laugh about it now.

I have had the great pleasure to experience many of his "firsts" with him which has meant alot to me because I used to be really bothered that our first child together, my first child wouldn't be his first because he has two daughters already.  I have experienced his first time flying, first time in the ocean and snorkeling, first time on a boat, etc. with him.

We bought a house together.

We have fun with his two daughters and enjoy their company when they stay with us.

Other Comments:        Part of our wedding ceremony and a theme for us is "two souls with a single thought...two hearts that beat as one." The blending of two lives, the union of two natures.

Lost And Found

You can spend a long time searching,

searching for a love that you can call your own,

sometimes the path can get a little rocky,

sometimes it can become, overgrown.

And for many years I was lost,

but now it's pure happiness that I've found,

I've found your love, your heart, your soul,

and loneliness is a far off and distant sound.

Although I've had a few practice runs,

I've never felt this way before,

just know that I love you like no other,

and that I'll love you always, for evermore.

For a long time it was a desperate search,

and then I told myself, I just didn't care,

and then like a vision, I saw you in the nightclub,

and there was lifelong happiness, just standing there.

Now, I'm not normally that forward,

but I thought, what the hell, I'll take the chance,

and I could picture myself with you forever,

even though at that stage, I just asked for a dance.

And that dance led us to dating,

and at times, that was a rocky rollercoaster ride,

I was scared I was falling too deeply for you,

and after all, a girl does have her pride.

You also had your shadows to deal with,

and I had to regain that feeling of trust,

and that could have been the end of us,

and in the game of life, once again I would've bust.

But our love is stronger than that,

and it's an Almighty force that wont be kept down,

and less than a year later, we were engaged,

and you made me the happiest girl in town.

You proposed the date that your father died,

and I can't help feeling we have his blessing all the time,

and I know that your Mom will come around,

she just needs to get her stubborn words to rhyme.

You are such a unique man in every way,

you clean, you wash and you're so very neat,

and we really compliment each other,

a love like ours is hard to beat.

So hubby, hunny, Nakia,

I just wanted you to know I love you with all my heart,

and I wanted to thank you for finding me,

now, how do I express that? Where on earth shall I start?

My love for you would be called Mount Everest,

if that love was a mountain to climb.

It would be all the ages past (and future),

if that love was a measure of time.

It would be all the seas of the world,

if that love was an ocean blue-green.

It would be the brightest ever rainbow,

if that love was all the colors ever seen.

It would be the sweetest summer breeze,

if that love was an air to breathe.

It would be the collective hopes of the world,

if that love was a dream to believe.

And it would be called the Universe,

if that love was the stars above,

and it is the only wish of this woman,

to be found by my man with that love.
