OPTION: SKIP REQUEST AND GO STRAIGHT TO POEM

My boyfriend (sweetie) and I have our one year anniversary coming up on
April 19th. We started seeing each other almost ten months ago. On the
day that I got back from my trip from England, he asked me to go to Prom
with him. Of course I said YES and we went to Prom together as friends.
Prom was a blast. We both had a lot of fun!!! After the dance, my
friends came over to my house to sit in the hot tub and chat. Meanwhile
my soon-to-be boyfriend was waiting patiently for them all to leave so
that he could ask me out. I was sleepy so it was quite a task to keep me
awake. He kept saying "Jack, Jack wake up Jack....from Titanic to keep
me up)!!! After everyone finally left at about 5:00 A.M., he asked me
out. I told him yes, and it's been wonderful ever since.
He told me that he loved me only a month after we were going out and
patiently waited again for me to return the message. I finally told him
that I loved him on Aug.1st at my front door as he was leaving my house
one night. We are so perfect for each other. We have a very strong Christian faith and that is the backbone to our relationship. We totally believe in the traditional no sex before marriage routine and go to church every Sunday (not always together due to our conflicting schedules). You see, I'm going to college and spending my senior there going post secondary full time while he is still in high school finishing his senior year.
We have both had very exciting years with myself getting the Miss Pine
City title and him getting homecoming king! We're both royalty! The only
bad thing is that 90 miles separate us between the two locations. We
e-mail to each other every day and call once a week.
I do believe that we were meant for each other. We are both 18 years
old. We have talked about marriage, but we have both decided to wait
until after college. I always call him my sweetie!!! He always call me
wonderful, beautiful, smart, a etc... I love him so much!!! He is a
gentleman because he really respects me and treats me like a queen. I
just know that we will be together forever. Our "happy thought" (as in
the movie Peter Pan) is having kids after marriage. My love of my life,
my sweetie, my gentleman, Dan is the only one for me.
I would really, really appreciate it if you would write this poem for me
that I could share with Dan! Thanks so much!!!
Sincerely, Patty

Dan

I have my special sweetie,

he is my gentle man,

he is the one for me,

and you know that his name is Dan.

Our first date was at the prom,

it was as simple as that,

ended the night in a tub,

you could call it a water chat !

He said that he loved me,

after only one month of going out,

and then he waited, waited and waited,

for me to remove any lingering doubt.

We are so perfect for each other,

we are even king and queen,

he calls me wonderful and smart,

he is the kindest man I've ever seen.

We have talked about marriage,

but have both decided to wait,

some things come to early,

some things are better off late.

I just know that we'll be together,

for life and for ever more,

because Dan is my one and only true love,

now I know what God's love is for.
