Change
When you look back,
and remember your halcyon days,
you'll find things have changed since then,
and in so many different ways.
When the whole world is changing,
why should people stay the same ?
Life is all about making a difference,
that is the name of the game.
Don't even think about stopping a wave,
King Canute tried and lost big time,
you must learn to go with the flow,
and find new words to make your rhyme.
Sure, you'll get hurt along the way,
but don't even stop to lick your wound,
because those who won't move forward,
will perish and are surely doomed.
And there might be a time,
some day in your future past,
where you'll get off the roller coaster,
and make that ride your last.
