A Gift of Poetry - Ten Years Online!!

Yes, it's true. I started A Gift of Poetry in 1998 and I've been online ever since. I was reminded of this just the other day when I received this note from Marcia, one of my early clients: What Marcia doesn't know is that she had a major impact on my decision to "go for it". Trust me, it was a big decision, with many ramifications but now 10 years on, I'm so glad that I did. Marcia was the first person who made me realize that I could 'make a difference' and I think I have continued to do that, admittedly in my own small way, for the last 10 years. Hi Allen!

I recently visited your website after almost 10 years since you wrote the poem “Footprints” for me after the suicide of my brother Michael, I and I was touched to see it and my letter. April 7 will be the 10 year anniversary of Michael’s death and I have been thinking about having you do another poem for my family to put in our local newspaper as a memorial. Even after 10 years my family is still trying to heal from Michael’s death. Not a day goes by that we do not think of him and miss him at all our family celebrations.

I am glad to see that you are still doing something you love. Most website businesses do not seem to have stood the test of time but I am glad to see that your business has. You are providing such personal and heart healing service so I am sure that is why.
