I knew from the moment I met her, that there was something special in her eyes. Even when we were not dating, I thought of her often. Our love continues to strengthen through life’s challenges. I look forward to growing old with her.
Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or other memorable moments that you’d like to share: We met at work and initially the timing was wrong (she cancelled our first date). I moved away and came back, ultimately: we came together at the perfect time in each other’s life. I will never forget our first kiss. Though difficult (I have been in nurse practitioner school for most of our dating and all of our married life) her sacrifices and understanding will be worth it (graduate this December). I look forward to being able to provide better for our family, being a father and Brooke, a mother (one day hopefully soon). We have traveled to Hawaii, been on a cruise, and love traveling together.
 

My Beautiful Brooke

Brooke, I wanted to get you something special,
something treasured, you know, that sort of thing,
because you have been the sparkle in my life,
yes, you’ve proven the gold, in this wedding ring.

You see, my life is so complete with you and
I know I love you, with all my heart and soul,
for Brooke, not only have you completed me,
you’ve made me, this man, completely whole.

I knew from the moment that we met, well,
by now, I guess this comes as no surprise,
but I knew that destiny was about to change, yes,
I know there was something special, in your eyes.

They were like mysterious pools, speckled with light,
and when I looked deep, I saw my future, laid out bare,
and twelve months ago, today, that fortune was told, as I said
"I do" to my beautiful Brooke (remember? You were there).

Do you know? Even when we were not dating,
I thought of you often, in fact, so many times,
because I know you’d be the ‘difference’, yes,
I know I needed the reason in my rhymes.

And our love continues to grow and strengthen,
even through the normal challenges of life,
and Brooke, I just wanted to say "I’m proud of you",
yes indeed, I’m very proud to call you "my wife".

And I look forward to growing old with you,
so that we can look back and fondly reminisce,
thinking and talking about our many children,
remembering that first, fate and joy filled kiss.

We’ve both come a long way from meeting at work,
and in a way, I’m glad that you cancelled our first date,
because when I came back, it was perfect timing and
I knew then I had found my one and only, my soul mate.

So, I thank you for your sacrifices and understanding,
and I look forward to providing for our little family,
I also look forward to many more travels together, yes,
Brooke, thanks for making my world a great place to be.

I’ wanted to say that I’m very proud of you and
I’ve never really said just how wonderful you are,
just know that if my love for you were a distance,
well, it would reach way beyond the furthest star.

I also wanted to say Happy First Anniversary,
I guess that’s really what these words are for,
here’s to you, Brooke, you’re truly wonderful,
and here’s to our everlasting love, for evermore.

hey! Who says life is supposed to be a rose filled dream?
But through it all, we’ve loved and stayed together, yes,

we’ve proven to the world, we truly are a team.
