Make To Be - An inspirational poem from a mother to her son

This is the second poem from a mother to her children. This is the son's poem - the daughter's poem can be found here:

(Julie has asked me to keep the details of the request confidential - which I have :)

Make To Be

Follow your dreams,
whatever they may be,
go wherever you want,
climb mountains, sail the sea.

Do what you want to do,
be whoever you are,
don't be afraid of the dark,
just choose your rising star.

Challenge your future,
attack your very own destiny,
because some things just go and happen,
and some things you make to be.

I said some heartfelt words in Allyson's poem,
and that's what these words are for,
a chance to have my say to you,
a chance to even up the score.

I love you very much,
and I'm very proud of you,
I'm proud of who you are,
I'm proud of what you do.

You've had your challenges in life,
but you rise to the occasion, each and every time,
just one of the reasons for my pride,
just one of the reasons for this rhyme.

Although you're not the greatest driver,
you've already totaled two cars (what the heck).
Really, I'm just glad that you weren't hurt,
even though I'm now a nervous wreck !

I've watched and loved you as you've grown,
from a baby to a fine young man,
sometimes we wandered off the track,
but believe me, there was always a plan !

I'm glad that you and Tim get on so well,
you hold each other in high regard,
a genuine love and affection from both sides,
a father and son role in which you've both starred.

We have such a close relationship,
although at times you can choose to unload,
but it's OK, I understand,
you're just dealing with another kink in the road.

You've hit a lot of obstacles in life,
every time you've something good it seems to just fall apart,
but I'm proud of the way that you handle it,
it's really inspiring to know you have such heart.

Because life is a journey,
you can never get too comfortable in just one place,
you need to find yourself within,
and then you can find your own inner space.

You were always close to Grandma Theresa,
her Nicky Jimmy could do no wrong,
and now you've an angel looking out for you,
if you listen carefully, she's still singing your song.

So, I just want you to be happy,
you mean so very much to me,
just remember that I love you,
and some things you make to be.

"Hi Allen, I love, love, love the poem. The only change I am going to have you make is to take out the paragraph about Nick losing his job and the reason I am doing that is because I am going to give him this for Christmas and by then that will be all over with. Other than that, I really love it. You really captured how I feel about him and what our relationship is. I don't mind if you publish this on your website and no name change is necessary. I would like it if you would print this on World from  Space paper. I would like the autographed Certificate of Authentication and also a signed copy of the poem and any of your notes you can send please. This is my free package and I told you I wanted to upgrade it to the same as Allyson's. I already put down $20,I don't have any idea what the difference will be so please let me know. Allen, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me two of the greatest gifts I could possibly give my kids. I'm sure I will be in touch in the future for more. Thanks so much, Julie

P.S. Please let me know what the difference is in money.

(Editor's note: The job verse has been omitted. This was Julie's second poem and was her FREE Standard Package (which comes with every Deluxe request). Julie's first poem is called Shining Star.
