I, for one, know that marriage is not easy and that life isn’t always a sweet bowl of cherries. This is the position Ken found himself in, approaching his 16th wedding anniversary. We are seperated right now and have been for the last two months. I have hurt her and our our son’s very much. I want her to give me another chance and please let me come home. 16th Anniversary Gift Ideas
I realize now, just what I had,
and now, I know I’ve lost everything, no
longer the husband, no longer the trusted Dad.
boy, back then, he had such fine, worthy dreams,
but he also had the love of his life, back then,
and we were one of the world’s finest teams.
and now, I am tortured, torn, so sad that we’re apart,
so I want to explain what you and our family mean to me, and
I hope that you can find some forgiveness, there, in your heart:
these last 16 years have been the very best of my life,
and I just wanted to say ‘I’m very proud of you’, yes,
I was once very proud indeed, to call you, “my wife”.
I know I hurt you and our sons, very much,
and now, I lie awake, at night, tossing, turning,
missing my inner piece, missing your tender touch.
I wouldn’t give to reclaim back those sands of time,
Denise, I am begging you for another chance, look,
I know it is you that puts the reason in my rhyme.
let me spend the rest of my life, proving my love,
because I know I’ve been blessed to have shared you,
I know that I have been blessed by the heavens above.
please forgive me. Please, let us try, once again,
I want, I need, my family, us, back together, yes,
stop, start. Why, how, who, what and when?
I am a compass without it’s North and West,

know you and your staff will do their best. I am going to present it to
my wife for a anniversary present. I do want it to be sad when it talks
about us being apart and happiness about the lord, our love and
committment to our marriage and our family that will bring us back
together again. Of course I want her to know that even though we are
seperated right now, being married to her for these last 16 years have
been the best years of my life and I look forward to another 16 years
with her and our son’s. Thank you so much and God Bless you while you
all write this poem for me. I want her to cry and to smile when she
reads this poem just as though I wrote it myself. I am looking forward
to reading the first draft. Thanks again Allen.
verse, last sentence. You left out a word by accident. The last
