  What are the key messages you would like to send: I want her to know that I love her more than anyone ever before.  I want her to know how much I appreciate her. How I think that with every day that passes we grow closer, stronger, and more in love.  I’ve grown to be a better person being with her but don’t necessarily need to include that.  How we do not always end up where we’ve planned to be when we planned to be there but as long as we gave it our all, everything will be ok.  I want her to know that I think about moving out of our parents’ houses and into our own home everyday and I cannot wait for it to happen.

  Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: During one of the first few months of our relationship we went 4-wheeling and as we were leaving it started pouring rain.  There were frogs all over the trails and roads out of the woods and Tamara was terrified that we would run one over.  She saw one in the middle of the road so she stopped and I got out to move the frog to safety on the side of the road.  I picked up the frog and tossed it to the side of the road and as I was walking in front of the car back to my door I slipped in the headlights and fell right on my butt.  I got up and walked to my door like nothing happened and when I got back in the car she was laughing histerically at me.  It was embarassing because I tried to play it off but she was laughing so hard I laughed with her.

  In November we went on a trip to see my family for Thanksgiving in St.Charles, IL and stayed at my father’s parent’s house with him.  (I had never been on any kind of road trip/vacation with a girlfriend before, especially with my parents) While we were there we took a whole day to go see downtown Chicago with my Mother.  (her father also lives in a suberb of Chicago)  When we got there we went up to the 96th floor (observation deck) of the Sears Tower and took beautiful pictures that are now in a photo album.  We took the train into the city and a bus to a Pizza Shop where we had authentic Chicago Pizza.  We saw all the christmas lights at night and went out on Navy Pier before heading home by bus then train to call it a night.  Overall it was a very special day because it was her first time into Chicago (I was born near chicago so my mother and I had experienced it before) and I was there with her.  It was fun, romantic, exciting, and adventurous.

  Do you have any other comments or thoughts : During our first year together we have experienced emotional and financial hardships but seem to always come out on top.  This is kind of how she helps me to be a better person.  She takes my downfalls and makes them seem like they are not that bad and lets me know that I can get through it.  She believes in me We met at a mutal friends house and that night went to a nightclub called LUX.  She had drank quite a bit before leaving and also at the club; I was the DD.  There we danced together and left together.  I tried playing the 2 day rule on calling her but saw her instead at another of my friends house on that second day.  On that second night together we fell asleep and woke up next to each other alone in my friends bed.  Since we’ve met we’ve spent as much time together as we possibly could.  We really want our own place to call home and right now that is our main focus.  Tamara is 20 (21 in June)  I am 22 (23 in May)

  Wow that’s amazing.  There were only a couple words that I would want to change but other than that it is everything and more that I thought it would be.  I’ve highlighted and noted the changes.  Also, my favorite verse is highlighted with blue.

  I want you to know I love you more than anyone before,

  truth; I love you with all my heart, with all my soul,

  for with you in my life, I am complete, yes, Tamara,

  you are the one that makes me completely whole.

  
  

  I also want you to know that you’re appreciated,

  in fact, I’d like to thank you for all that you’ve done,

  because your love has been my inspiration, my light,

  yes, in every way, you’ve been like my morning sun.

  
  

  I think with every day that passes, well, we grow,

  we grow closer, we grow stronger, more in love,

  and I just want to thank my lucky stars, yes,

  I know we haven’t always ended up where we planned,

  it’s certainly one of the reasons, in the future, I will say “I do”.

  
  

  And I’ll never forget my ‘virgin girlfriend road trip’,

  nor our fabulous downtown Chicago sightseeing tour,

  it was fun, romantic, exciting and adventurous, and

  maybe, that’s what these words are really for…

  
  

  Because that’s exactly how I see our future:

  fun, romantic, exciting, adventurous and then some,

  because even though we’ve struggled financially,

  I think we’re rich, when you think, what we’ve become.

  
  

  Because even though it’s been an emotional roller coaster,

  we’ve certainly had our share of all the fun of the fair,

  and we seem to come out on top, you bring out my very best,

  and when I look at you, I see my best friend, standing there.

  
  

  You take my downfalls and make them seem insignificant,

  yes, in your hands, many a mountain has become a molehill,

  it’s because you believe in me, you help me get through it,

  even when life makes me swallow the odd bitter pill.

  
  

  And we’ve come a long way from our friends and Lux,

  I’m just so glad that we had that very first dance,

  because even though you’d had a lot to drink, I knew,

  when love comes knocking, you don’t get a second chance.

  
  

  I tried playing the 2 day rule before phoning you,

  but fate intervened and we fell asleep in a friend’s bed,

  Tamara, just know that I love you very much, and one day,

  in the future, “I do” will be the wisest words I’ve ever said.
