  Candie got in touch and wanted something special for her husband to be for Valentine’s Day. That was the poem called ‘Dancing With Happiness‘ that I wrote about a year ago.   Why do you want the poem written: One year ago this month you wrote an incredible poem for me to give Steve for Valentines day titled “Dancing with Happiness”. We both loved it very much. We were married three weeks ago and just returned from our honeymoon. I would love very much for you to write another beautiful poem for me to give to my new husband.

  What are the key messages you would like to send: Although we have been through a lot in our lives and relationship, I couldn’t be happier or more proud than I am right now to be his wife. We were just married on January 14th in a beautiful Las Vegas wedding and just returned from our wonderful seven day Caribbean cruise for our honeymoon. I felt like a princess throughout both of them and I’m very grateful.

  Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or other memorable moments that you’d like to share: When we were on our honeymoon, while on our excursion in Roatan Honduras, we once again were almost left behind because we were shopping and didn’t see our group load into the buses. When we caught them we had to ride on separate buses to the next part because of room. We laughed about this for a long time. When were got to Vegas for our wedding, we had booked everything online and hoped for the best. When we met the minister who was to be performing the ceremony, we laughed and told everyone later that we were married by Jose’ Cuervo. He was a small funny man named Jose who was very happy and a little difficult to understand at times. He also said in our wedding he was marrying us on January 13th, and I quickly reminded him it was the 14th. We thought it was so funny. On our honeymoon cruise we danced, took excursions, laughed, enjoyed our large private balcony on the back of the ship that allowed us to have the most wonderful view of the sunsets. Also, we laughed after our wedding, because after I cried because I thought I wouldn’t have a pretty dress for our wedding, Steve helped me find a wonderful man in Beijing, China to make the most beautiful dress I have ever seen. We barely got the dress in time to leave for Vegas and we worried. We also took a big chance by booking our wedding online and hoping for the best. I wish I could share a couple of pictures with you. You would understand why I cry now with true tears of joy when I think about my fairytale wedding and breathtaking dress my husband loves me enough to make come true. Then he even gave me a dream cruise on the new Carnival Dream ship for a honeymoon. I forgot to tell you about the gorgeous ring he bought for me and how he proposed on seeetest day. I’m sorry I realize I am going on and on. As you see I am truly, truly blessed and will never take him for granted.

  Do you have any other comments or thoughts: I just want something very special for the man dearest to my heart. I have personally seen your work and look forward to another wonderful creation from you. 

  Kind Enough

  Steve, now this is going to be a challenge,
  to not use a line that has gone before,
  but I did just want to say “I love you” and
  to promise you that love, for evermore.

  You see, we have both ‘Danced With Happiness’,
  and I know that some lines really touched your heart,
  well, I wanted to say thanks for being a great husband,
  but the words won’t come. Where can I start?

  You see, we had such a magical wedding and the
  honeymoon? Well, I think we both need some rest,
  just know that you made your princess, feel like one,
  and as red hot lovers go, well, you passed the test!

  Look, we’ve both been through a lot in our lives,
  and not everyone gets married by a small funny man,
  but Jose, was really lovely, if difficult to understand,
  still, 13th or 14th, did it matter? It all went to plan.

  And that plan didn’t include nearly missing the bus,
  but that Honduran shopping, well, you know what it’s like,
  and even though we had to take separate buses for a while,
  well, it could have been worse, it would have been some hike!

  But then again, after the wedding, I cried and then laughed,
  because I realized I’d married the kindest man I’ve ever met,
  and on the cruise we danced with happiness and we laughed,
  and I’ll never forget that balcony, nor that gorgeous sunset.

  Because you were kind enough to make me the dress,
  kind enough to be the man, I’ve dreamt of all of my life,
  so Steve, just know that I will never take you for granted,
  just know you’re so very kind, enough, for your eternal wife.
