I Care About You Poems
Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or other memorable moments that you’d like to share: he cooks for me a lot, he is kind and considerate, he has a dog named “Beau” , two sons, Rod and Simon, and lost his wife in a car accident 12 years ago. Loves wine and poetry and is trying to be patient with me so he does not lose me. Sends me poetry every night on the computer.
Do you have any other comments or thoughts: I keep asking him to slow down because I don’t want to hurt him but he is struggling with that. I want him to be happy but don’t know if I am the one. I want the poem to be happy and upbeat and possibly focus on his character and life with his sons and a part about us and the calmness I experience with him. Like to be held in his arms and know he will always be there.
some rhyme, some don’t, all are from the heart,
so I thought I’d share a few of my feelings,
now, where on Earth, can I possibly start?
and thinking about the firmaments above,
because I know we were destined to meet,
I know I was destined to receive your love.
especially when it’s only partially returned,
but I want you to know that there’s hope, yes,
I think it’s something you’ve really earned.
I’m not sure I know the road to true happiness,
but I do care about you, very much indeed and
while I’m at it, there’s more I should confess…
probably one of the truest, kindest on planet Earth,

you see, you have made all our worlds a better place to be,
and I’m really sorry you lost your wife all those years ago,

I know that those three make up a magical blend,

even though at times, I must drive you around the bend.
I also know we’d get nowhere if we were driving a car,
and I realize that you struggle with that guidance, but
don’t lose hope, do you know how wonderful you are?
and I’m not really sure I can deliver you that,
but then again, I do feel very much loved by you and
when held in your arms, I purr like a Cheshire cat.
I really do appreciate your love, it helps me cope,
