This was written in July 2011 and is
a good example of my current writing style. Because of the sensitive
nature of the content, names have been changed and I have decided not
to share the request, as there are too many clues in there, but you'll
get the idea....'Dave' and 'Stephanie' have been dating for 3 years,
without the family's approval, but Dave still wanted to say 'Happy
3rd Anniversary' and a little bit more....
Little
Boy's Dream
Stephanie,
we've been dating 3 years now,
and
My! How that time has flown sweetly by,
and
I'm going to explain what you mean to me,
or
at least, I'm going to give it one good try...
You
see, you really are so very special,
and
yes, you are so important in my life,
and
I know it hasn't been that easy but,
one
day, I'm sure we'll be husband and wife.
Because
through thick, middle and thin,
we
have been right by the other's side,
and
I know I couldn't have chosen finer,
I
know I couldn't - even if I'd tried.
I
respect and love you so very much,
you're
a good girl, on the in and the out,
and
you've taught this boy about life,
yes,
you've taught me what love is all about.
I
know it's hard dating me behind those backs,
but
do they care about your happiness, I wonder?
They
don't want you to date, that is clear, but
in
the end, we'll survive this stormy thunder.
And
I promise, it will all have been worth it,
every
step over that fiercly burning coal,
because
I know what we have is precious, yes,
Stephanie,
I love you, with all my heart, all my soul.
And
we've shared so many wonderful moments,
in
truth, there are just too many to individually list,
just
know that each and every one is simply precious,
no,
there's not one that I would have missed.
Remember
when we got our first massage together?
That
was nice, then you told me to close my eyes,
well,
things started to steam up quite quickly then,
and
I must admit, it was all a rather pleasant surprise.
Unlike
the time when we were dogged rollerblading,
or
at least, that's what it felt like at the time,
but
then again, I've heard Flemings does great flamingo,
when
even the best of us struggle to find a meaningful rhyme.
Because
when I met Benny and he said it was okay, well,
it
was just so nice to see you cry happy relief filled tears,
as
you knew at least one part of your family approved and
that
creates such hope to come for our future years.
Because
love is like a dripping tap, drip, drip, drip,
scratch
that, it's more like a torrent, an unstoppable stream,
and
one day, we will live together, with everyone's approval,
yes,
my angel, I pray for that, for that is this little boy's dream.
And
I also wanted to say Happy 3rd Anniversary,
I
guess that's really what these words are for,
here's
to you, Stephanie, you're truly wonderful,
and
here's to our everlasting love, for evermore.
